I enjoy travelling to Llanlledrith and back, and meeting lots of interesting people on the way, like the Imaginers, so this job is perfect!
I’ve always worked on the little trian. Before I became the ticket guard I used to work in the engine room, shovelling huge lumps of coal into the steam furnace. What hard work that was! Heaving and heaping in all that dust and soot, all day long!
But since the engine changed to run on electricity, the only thing which gets fired up these days is children’s imagination – and I’m more than happy having a bit of a chat and maybe a sing-song on the way to Llanlledith.
